The SIAS Admissions' Team has been organising coffee meetups across India. The most recent sessions were held in Gurgaon and New Delhi, where they had the opportunity to meet with students and parents.

Prof Mukund Padmanabhan has been awarded the title of Distinguished Professor of Philosophy by Krea University in recognition of his outstanding contribution to research and teaching.
He has recently authored a book titled The Great Flap of 1942, published by Penguin Random House, which presents a narrative history of the Japanese attacks in Southeast Asia and their impact on India.

An MPhil in Philosophy, he has imparted his knowledge at Hindu College, Delhi University, and Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Former editor of The Hindu and The Hindu BusinessLine, he has extensively written on political, legal, and literary subjects. He is actively involved in various non-profit organisations, including the Independent and Public Spirited Media Foundation, the CPB Foundation, and The Blue Mountains School, Ooty. He also holds the position of Chairperson at the World Editors Forum (South Asia chapter).

A paper by Prof Madhuri Saripalle, Professor of Economics at IFMR GSB, Krea University was accepted for poster presentation at the Annual meeting of the American Economic Association, held at San Antonio, Texas from 5-7 January, 2024. A paper titled Face - An Insufficient Technology of the Subject by Dr Srajana Kaikini, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at SIAS, Krea University has been published in Sambhashan’s special issue on Technology, Art, and Society (July - September, 2023) (Volume 4, Issue 3) pp.19-33. In this paper, Dr Kaikini philosophically explores the face in art history to argue for a renewed understanding of its relationship to the subject. Read here

The case study titled Campusutra: A Fusion of Opportunities for Growth, authored by Prof Chandrasekaran N, Professor of Operations Management at IFMR GSB, Krea University and co-authored by Dr Sathya Saminadan R S, Associate Professor of Practice at IFMR GSB, Krea University along with freelance professor Dr Indira Ananth, has recently been published by Ivey Publishing.

Moturi Satyanarayana Centre for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences presents an insightful talk on the topic: Of regional landscape engagements in the past: Chi’nar (Platanus orientalis) in the making of landscape gardening in Kashmir by Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Numani on 31 January, 2024 from 2.30 pm to 3.45 pm at Seminar Hall - 2 on Sri City campus. The speaker will discuss and highlight the contribution of Chi’nar (Platanus orientalis) in the making of landscape gardens in the Kashmir valley. Was Chi’nar a native of Kashmir or was it imported to Kashmir? The valedictory function of the inaugural batch of the Profitability Analytics and Enterprise Performance Management certificate programme took place on 20 January, 2024 at Krea University Admin Office.
Mr Rajesh Raghavan, President - Corporate at Rane Holdings Ltd, served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. Prof Lakshmi Kumar, Dean of IFMR GSB at Krea University, graced the event and engaged with the participants. Notable figures from IFMR GSB, including Prof Balasubramanian G, Senior Professor and Advisor in Finance, Accounting & Quantitative Finance; Prof N Chandrasekaran, Professor in Operations Management; and Dr Jayaram Ramakrishnan, Associate Professor in Finance, Accounting & Quantitative Finance, who were instrumental in teaching during the programme, were in attendance and addressed the participants. Mr Ramanathan Hariharan, Executive Director of Executive Education, also participated in the event.
The comprehensive 30-hour programme delved into the Profitability Analytics Framework, a strategic process crafted to generate high-quality internal decision-support information catering to decision-makers at all levels within an organisation, spanning from the executive suite to the operational frontlines and customer touchpoints.
The programme drew participants from various distinguished companies, including Lucas TVS, Rane Holdings Pvt Ltd, Rane NSK, Sona Comstar, TAFE, ABI Showatech (India) Pvt Limited, ABI Soorai Green, and Turbo Energy Private Limited.

The Arthasabha Committee at IFMR GSB, Krea University skillfully redefined finance, transforming transactions into captivating tales during their two-day finauction event from 19 to 20 January, 2024. Modelled after the IPL auction, teams engaged in spirited bidding for different teams and players, testing their budgeting skills and financial knowledge. The first day featured an engaging quiz round, drawing overwhelming student participation, followed by the thrilling auction on the subsequent day. The bidding battle between teams was truly captivating, making it a financial masterpiece orchestrated by the committee.

On 21 January, 2024 students from IFMR GSB, Krea University embarked on a Voyage Quest organised by the Speakers’ Club. The event drew enthusiastic participation from many students, contributing to its grand success. Comprising three rounds, including an audience round and a word-guessing round, the event sparked even more excitement. Each round presented new challenges, met with equal prowess by the participants, culminating in a memorable evening for all involved.

On 23 January, 2024 students at IFMR GSB, Krea University were treated to a magical night of music, courtesy – Raga Club's 'Sur-Kshetra' event. The club orchestrated a three-round extravaganza, commencing with the Musical Whispers round that elicited roars of laughter and fun among the participants. This was followed by two more entertaining rounds, including the Scene to Song Showdown, showcasing video songs from diverse Indian languages, and a unique Antakshari round in the finale. The latter truly put the participants' music knowledge and swift responses to the test.
