A Round-up of the Kreaverse
|
Last week marked a significant moment for Krea University with the visit of Mr Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group of Companies, and Mrs Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of JSW Foundation. They inaugurated the JSW Academic Building, the central academic hub at Krea University on 23 September. The day also included a tree-planting event and engaging conversations with the students.
Amidst our bustling schedules, the Krea family witnessed an unveiling of talent. Rangasthala, the Theatre Club of the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS) at Krea University, presented a captivating production. Subsequently, the Dance Club at SIAS, Mudra, presented their production titled Navarasa: A Cycle of Nine. Additionally, students of Politics organised a thought-provoking exhibition on the state of democracy in our country. It's clear that there's much more to come.
But it’s clearly the trimester examinations that have kept our Kreators busy as they prepare diligently for the same. Alongside, our dedicated faculty members, besides assisting students with their revisions, are actively contributing to academia through paper presentations, workshops, and intellectually stimulating lectures.
We're also committed to strengthening our bonds with our alumni, reconnecting, and celebrating shared memories. The second edition of Anunaad 2023 is set to take place over the upcoming weekend in Mumbai.
Beside all these activities, numerous ideas are in the works, waiting to take shape, and what you’re scrolling through is only a handful of exciting developments happening at Kreaverse. Stay updated by following our social media channels, and if you have news to share with the Krea community, please reach out to us at all.commsteam@krea.edu.in. We look forward to hearing from you!

Rangasthala, the Theatre Club of SIAS at Krea University, is a close knit community of people with a strong faith in the power of theatre as an art form to entertain, while prompting essential dialogue about our social contexts. The club aims to compel its participants to explore and enrich their theatrical skills.
The club has put up five productions in the past year, each production helping them learn and understand different aspects of theatre and acting. Their latest production, 12 Angry Jurors, was put up over two days. The play provided the audience with a close look at a tense jury room trying to decide the fate of a 19-year-old boy who was accused of stabbing his father to death. As the play unfolded, the audience got a bitter taste of how different forces played out in the process. They hope the play initiated thoughts and conversations about justice, the jury system, human biases and ideals.
On Krea’s social media platforms, in the coming week, we will give you a glimpse of the significant work done by Rangasthala over the recent months.
