The vision of Symmetry, the Math Club of SIAS, Krea University is to foster and build a community of people interested in Mathematics and to make Math more accessible and enjoyable to the general populace through fun activities.
In the past, the club had a Mathlete tournament, in collaboration with Connect Club. The competition was a fast-paced, team-based event that challenged problem-solving abilities. Besides this, the club focussed a lot this trimester on the tutoring programme for first year students doing Mathematical Reasoning, a core course that the students undertake. In collaboration with the Inclusive Learning Support (ILS) office, they have held regular tutoring groups and one one-on-one sessions for students to help those who are weak at Math get through the trimester.
On Krea’s social media platforms, in the coming week, we will give you a glimpse of the significant work done by the Math Club of SIAS over the recent months.

On October 1, Krea University's students embarked on an adventurous trip to TP Kota Falls, a natural waterfall located 30 km from the University in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This stunning waterfall is renowned for its scenic beauty, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and trekkers. Organised by the task members of Team Adventure, this well-planned excursion included around 50 participants. The team was divided into seven sub-teams with different skills, ensuring everyone's safety and enjoyment. They even conducted a demo trip to assess the route. The outing not only provided a unique natural experience but also highlighted our students' ethical responsibility, as they collected plastic waste from the forest. This adventure is just the beginning, as Team Adventure plans to explore tribal cultures and languages, aligning with the University's holistic learning approach.
